The Simpsons ( The Simpsons ) is a cartoon series about “a normal family”, invented by Matt Groening . The first episode was broadcast on television 17th December 1989 and has since been the longest animated series in history (up to 18 December 2008 the 20 series and over 400 episodes). The first time it appeared on the screen as the Simpsons was 19th April 1987 as a two-minute sketch, which later turned into 48 sequels.
The first episode in a form known as the Simpsons today bears the name of the Simpsons Christmas ( English. Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire ) and was a great success. Slovakia was the first Prime Minister feature film about Simsponovcoch – The Simpsons Movie 26th July 2007 .
The basic concept invented by the Simpsons creator Matt Groening was during a 15 minute waiting period he spent in the waiting room of producer James L. Brooks. Groening initially wanted to create a series based on his comic strip Life in Hell , but then he came up with the idea for The Simpsons.
In selecting the names of many characters inspired by Matt Groening :
- Homer Simpson – Homer Groening (Matt Groening’s father)
- Marge Simpson – Groeningová Margaret (his mother)
- Lisa Simpson – Lisa Groeningová (his sister)
- Maggie Simpson – Maggie Groeningová (older sister)
- Bart Simpson ( anagram word BRAT – brat) -
But in the actual series of Bart Simpson Bartholomew sometimes called, so there may be only an abbreviation of the name.
